Franz Grabmayr

*1927   +2015  

Attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna as a student assistant to R.C. Andersen 1954, master's degree under Herbert Boeckl 1964. Grabmayr works on his oil paintings with palette-knives, wide brushes, lots of paint and pigment, to create a thick impasto for a vibrant and luminous surface.
