The Art of Collecting - Spotlights is an exhibition concept that focuses on selected pieces from the collection and creates a thematic link to the temporary exhibition.
The Art of Collecting is a tribute to the Klocker family, who left behind an impressive art collection, an impressive mineral collection and an extensive family archive. Although the Klocker Museum sees itself primarily as a place of art, the exhibition aims to facilitate a dialog with other parts of the collection.

The exhibition shows works by Max Weiler (1910–2001) from the collection of the Klocker Foundation and sets them in relation to contemporary positions. The artists Carmen Brucic (born 1972), Annja Krautgasser (born 1971) and Angelika Wischermann (born 1983) each refer to individual works, series of works or biographical aspects of Weiler. The comparison reveals both formal and content-related parallels as well as critical debates that open up different approaches to Weiler's work
