As the first recipient of a new grant from the Dr. Hans Klocker and Dr. Wolfgang Klocker Foundation, which is intended primarily to support students and graduates of art academies and universities, Janine Weger, born in 1993 in Hall i.T., developed a concept for the design of the Black Box during a four-week artist residency at the Klocker Villa in Arzl.

The exhibition shows works by Max Weiler (1910–2001) from the collection of the Klocker Foundation and sets them in relation to contemporary positions. The artists Carmen Brucic (born 1972), Annja Krautgasser (born 1971) and Angelika Wischermann (born 1983) each refer to individual works, series of works or biographical aspects of Weiler. The comparison reveals both formal and content-related parallels as well as critical debates that open up different approaches to Weiler's work
