Temporary Exhibition
I am my own muse
05.04. - 31.08.2025
How do women perceive themselves? And how are they seen in a society characterised by patriarchal structures? These questions are at the centre of the group exhibition ‘I am my own muse’. The works presented scrutinise traditional role models, break with stereotypical ideas and deal with social norms. With a strong, self-confident visual language, the artists not only address the construction of femininity, but also the visibility of women in the art world.

Amanda Burzic (born in Salzburg in 1994, lives and works in Vienna) paints on canvas, clothing and everyday objects – and not just with paint. Using stickers, stones and slogans, the new scholarship holder of the Klocker Foundation creates authentic and intimate works that oscillate between kitsch, humour and emotion.
