Art Box feat. Amanda Burzić

26.06.2025 - 18.01.2026

ends in 52 Days

Amanda Burzic (born in Salzburg in 1994, lives and works in Vienna) paints on canvas, clothing and everyday objects – and not just with paint. Using stickers, stones and slogans, the new scholarship holder of the Klocker Foundation creates authentic and intimate works that oscillate between kitsch, humour and emotion.

Discover our collection: BODIES

The human body in art has been an important source of inspiration for artists for centuries. From the ancient sculptures of Greek and Roman times to the diverse representations of the body in modern and contemporary art. The body often serves as a medium for the depiction of emotions, social and political themes and messages or simply as an expression of aesthetics and beauty. Austrian artist Heinz Klima (*1924 in Vienna) also explores the emotional level of human existence in his depictions of the body, while Rosmarie Lukasser (*1981 in Lienz) uses a wide range of materials to explore the relationship between humans and technology in her sculpture "Annäherung an...bin im Netz i1.1/F1", taking a critical look at today's world.
